Rachael Ray Show’s Christina – Info About Her Diet

We’ve discussed the 4 Day Diet here on http://trickyourmetabolism.com in the past. It’s getting some great results for a young woman who wants to lose weight and who’s brave enough to do it in front of the world on television. The 4-Day Diet by Dr. Ian Smith is a popular book and Dr Ian has been featured on the Rachael Ray Show more than once.

Christina, the 18-year old who is nearly 300 pounds and wants to lose 70 pounds by prom, is doing a version of Dr. Ian K. Smith’s diet. For more information about Christina’s diet plan, visit http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/christinas/diet/plan/.

In the first week, Christina lost 10 pounds! The first 4 days is the detox phase of the diet. It’s restrictive but there’s plenty of food. This isn’t a diet that leaves you hungry. In fact, when I’ve done this diet in the past, I’ve often had trouble getting all the allowed food into my day. Those who want to give it a try will probably find that for the first time, they really are getting the daily recommendations for produce and for fiber.

Teas To Drink On the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet

Tea is a good drink for just about any time, especially when you’re trying to be health-conscious and lose weight. If you’re doing the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet, beverage consumption can make a big impact on your diet’s success. Here are some teas you might want to drink:

Green Tea

Most people know that green tea is healthful and can promote weight loss. There are some other teas that can as well. Green tea can also help you digest. Ever notice that the vast majority of Asians have an ideal body weight? If you go to authentic Asian restaurants you’ll also notice that they drink cup after cup of green tea during their meals.

Oolong, also known as Wulong, is also a popular weight loss tea. It has a woodsy flavour.

White Tea

White tea can promote healthy metabolism, kills several types of infections, and it even helps promote good oral health. It has a light and delicate flavour and a small amount of caffeine, compared to many other teas.

Other Teas

Black tea and chai are also beneficial and flavourful beverages — as are herbal teas.  It’s important to keep the sugar content down (to nil if possible) and don’t forget that teas have varying levels of caffeine so don’t overdo consumption.

Tea can count toward your daily water consumption goals. Drink tea at meals and you may consume fewer calories. Warm drinks are also said by many to help you digest better than cold drinks, which could cause congealing of your eaten food. Use tea in cooking as well as serve it in a cup and you could get loads of health benefits from tea while losing weight.

4 Day Diet – Transition Module

I’ve been doing Dr. Ian K. Smith’s 4 day diet and I’ve just finished the transition module.

The food during the last four days was very similar to the induction phase / module of the four day diet but with the allowance of meat and small snacks from a choice of snack it provided enough variety to keep me going.

Weight loss on the 4 day diet so far:

At the end of day 3 of transition I had lost 4 pounds from the 7 days on the diet so far. But, at the end of day 4, I was back up almost two pounds. My bad. We had company over and I took the day off the diet. Not a wise move, really, but I’m not going to let it get me down and will get back on the diet for day one of the protein diet phase starting today. If you’re dieting and fall off the wagon, don’t think that means you have to forget about it. Just get back at it. That’s what I’m doing. I’m also planning to dedicate more time to exercise. I’ve had pretty good results with 4 pounds of weight loss in 7 days and I haven’t been following Dr Smith’s guidelines for exercise so plan to implement exercise more in the protein module. I’ll be back to report on the protein module in a few days and then it’s onto the Smooth module — the module where pizza, fries, and burgers are allowed. :)
