January is the biggest month of the year for diet sales. Books, diet e-books, gym equipment and gym membership sales go through the roof! Why?

1. People are ready for new beginnings in a new year

2. People have done way too much holiday eating and their clothes are tight, they’re feeling sluggish and they’re ready to start getting trim and toned for summer clothing season.

It’s not too difficult to cover up your bulges in the dead cold of winter but you still know they’re there. I’ve just overdone it through the holidays and undone my efforts last fall when I did the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Idiot Proof diet that I journalled about on this blog. I’m getting ready to start again. In 11 days, I can undo 7-9 pounds of damage! I’ve already run the reports with what I’m planning to eat for the 11 days with the online menu generator which makes it really easy to stay on track with the diet. It might take two cycles of the program to get me where I want to be but it’s good to know that while many people give up on their new years weight loss resolutions before the end of January, by that time I could already be to my goal weight!
