Today is day 3 of the Idiot Proof Diet.  To read my journal from day 1, start here.  So far, I’ve lost 2 pounds! This diet has an average weight loss of 9 pounds in 11 days and my plan is to do it once and possibly twice in a row (after three days of cheating per the diet’s directions) in order to meet my goal of a 15 pound loss.

I downloaded the Calorie Shifting / Idiot Proof Diet from this link and am journaling about it.  A lot of websites sell this program but few of the sellers seem to say that they have actually done the diet and few tell you about their personal experience with calorie shifting. I’m here to reveal the good and the bad and yes…even the ugly.  Quite honestly, yesterday got a bit ugly for me.

October 16:  Day 3 of 11

Today is much better so far than yesterday. I’m writing today’s diet journal entry just before I’m going to prepare my third meal of the day.

On Day 2, I ate three meals of fruit and one not-so-yummy sandwich but bright and early this morning I was frying bacon. I can’t even tell you how delicious it was!  I’m feeling less sluggish today and that might be in part to drinking more water and getting some more protein. I hope I’m going to get over my sudden distaste for deli meat as the diet calls for lots of it but I couldn’t manage to eat any of the deli meat that I could opt for in meal #2 today.

I’m drinking green tea, white tea and wulong tea as well during this diet as you can have any liquid that is below 10 calories.  I must admit my morning coffee probably has more than ten calories as I am still using sugar in it. I refuse to use artificial sweeteners and am not yet strong enough to drink my coffee unsweetened. Sugar reduction is a challenge for another time!

Two Pounds Down!

Now that I’ve seen two fewer pounds on the scale, I’m a bit more motivated. I measured my waist today too. I meant to do that before starting but didn’t do so until today so at the end of the diet I can reveal my total weight loss and how many waist inches I’ve lost as well.

Two days ago I was at a BMI of 25.1 and I know that below 25 is a healthy weight level for me so I’m very happy to now be below (even if it’s just slightly) the line again!
